SG Tanner Holden (transfer back to Wright St.)

Tanner Holden isn't just in the doghouse that puppy has been nailed shut. He's played a total of 38 minutes the last six games, before today.

He hasn't appeared at Purdue and seems like he won't with only 5 minutes left in a rout.

He's shooting 46% from downtown this season, but obviously Holtmann doesn't like something about his game.
I think it's the fact he puts up points.... Holtmann only wants to win by scoring less than 60 points

One of my biggest complaints about coach had always been his substitution patterns. It's like he gets caught watching the game too much or something. So who would really be to blame, Holtmann or the assistant who's job it is to make sure coach knows all the particularsduring a game? Either way is broken

Mayhaps the competition in the B10 was a bit stiffer than the league that Wright State is in? Dunno, but agree with above, something happened, or didn't happen that put Tanner in the doghouse. Heck, all of these recruits come in as big scorers from HS, but have to develop other aspects of their game. Maybe his didn't translate? Believe Holtmann (and Gene Smith) made a good call by playing the frosh, as they all grew and showed out as good players and contributors. Hate to see Zed hurt, but Okpara went through his learning curve, got beat up for awhile, but (IMHO) blossomed in the waning parts of the season. Augers well for the future, methinks. Go Bucks!
