SG Luther Muhammad (transfer to Arizona St.)

I do not know what has happened to Luther but he seems to have digressed from last season. Too much fancy dancy for me. He should just get the ball and try and take it to the basket. Work on your three-point shooting in practice.

Scarlet and Gray fans who paid attention over the last few games may have noticed the latest addition to the injury list. Sophomore guard Luther Muhammad suffered a dislocated shoulder prior to Ohio State’s Feb. 1 game against Indiana. According to Muhammad, both of his shoulders aren’t stable and it’s possible for either to dislocate at any time.

The sophomore wore a bulky brace on his right shoulder against the Hoosiers and in the first half against Michigan three days later.

“I had it on my right and it was bothering me because you gotta adjust to basically the strength you're using to shoot,” Muhammad explained of the brace on Tuesday. “I actually took it off at halftime. They ain't tell me to do that. It was just bothering me so much, I was like, 'I ain't wearing this.' So I took it off.”

Muhammad lasted until just under nine minutes to play in the second half against the Wolverines before he drove to the basket and made contact with a defender. The guard went down and came out of the game before going to the locker room with a member of the medical staff. Muhammad did return to the bench but did not come back into the game.

“It’s not healthy enough for him to take it off,” Holtmann said of Muhammad’s shoulder after the game. “He probably doesn’t like it because it affects his shooting.”

Luther played well today and hit some perimeter shots...........this team needs that........

5-of-8 from 3-point range in the last two games for Ohio State..........
I agree…… when he plays well this is a much better team but sometimes he can get so "loose" with the ball it just drives me crazy……this team still commits too many turnovers without him adding his that really are not needed.

I give him a ton of credit for playing through his shoulder issue and it has impacted his game this year.......

It was a welcome sight today to see him play consistent......
