SF Seth Towns (transfer to Howard)

The only true answer is that Towns isn’t at that point yet and, after such a lengthy recovery, there’s no rush.

“He's not ready to play a significant amount of minutes,” Holtmann said. “He's just not. He's not physically quite ready for that. He's not in the shape to do that. Again, It's going to be a slow process. I think people hopefully have understood that by now, that the young man has worked really hard to get back to this point but it's not a situation where he's necessarily ready to play significant minutes, Big Ten minutes. That might be a while.

“Who knows when that will be? I'm not going to put a timeline on it. But it's not right now. He's just got to continue to put in good work day after day.”

great game and IQ. "polished" is a good way of describing it. For those who think the knee is not holding him back, just watch him move. He still doesn't look quite right to me.

And as I have said before, injuries that keep athletes out as long as he was don't typically get better as the season goes and the minutes accumulate. I would just love to have him as close to 100% as possible at the end of the season when the games mean more.

He def is fun to watch. Love the mid-range pull up and old school kiss off the glass.

The mid range pull up didn't seem to be there the first few games, it was just the 3. The last couple games he's gone by the guy running out to stop his 3 to hit the mid-range pull up. That will give him better 3 looks as the season progresses. Hopefully we will see him fully recover before he's done at tOSU.

READ A BOOK. Seth Towns would love to hear any and all of your #takes – provided that you simply read a book first.

On May 15 at 2 p.m., the Northland product, Harvard graduate and Ohio State grad student and basketball player will conduct the first meeting of his online book club. Open to all, the “Better Booklist” will focus on books that, in the words of Towns, analyze current conditions, reject the status quo and force readers to be critical of the structures that perpetuate oppression.

That might sound like a lot, but the goal is actually pretty straightforward: read, and discuss, issues related to racial injustice.

“So often the most ignorant people are the loudest in the room,” Towns said. “It’s so funny how people have these strong and passionate opinions about something that they haven’t really analyzed very much or thought critically about. If you have something to say, then read a book I’m suggesting and then come back and talk to me.”

So basically, it would seem that Seth is asking people to simply be thoughtful, informed and deliberate before engaging with him online, which is... best of luck Seth!
