Sorry for the blurry image but it’s a screenshot of the play you told me to watch again. After watching I’m actually more convinced that this could have been a fumble. Closer than I originally thought. That object at the half yard line is the football.

When you rewatch on this YouTube vid at 1/4 speed (play with the video on, it's hilarious), at that moment (about 13.5 seconds in) the object at the half yardline looks like his foot to me. I see nothing that is clearly the ball on the ground until it is at the "E" in the end zone.

Not his foot, it's the ball...

I’m honestly baffled at how you guys think that isn’t his foot lol.

Thank God this didn't happen against tsun they would be using this an excuse for a 50 point beating.

Regardless it was still too close. I imagine the coaches have reminded everyone that we hand the refs the ball.

Which is right when he let go. Too close, but certainly not dropped before the goal line.

I guess I just don't understand arguing the press box/TV angle when the ball is almost completely obscured by his body and the 720p screenshots suffer so heavily from YouTube compression that a person can't determine which pixel is the football and which pixel is a foot?

For the record, the ball came to rest at the top of the E about 8 yards deep in the end zone and (I don't think) ever touched green grass. It was close, but it wasn't that egregious.

Regardless, there are two ultra hi resolution photos from two different photographers on the end line positioned at two different angles that clearly show the ball has already been released as his heel touches the goal line.

Yep whether he crossed with it or not is irrelevant at this point the coaches will catch it in film study and be like yo don't do that
