Only objections: Martin is WAY too low. So is Devine(grades?) and Torrey Davis is way too high. Good to see Clifford that high and that Saine and Jeremiah both made the list pretty high. Also interesting to see Bernstine ranked that high considering he really likes OSU and doesn't have an offer yet.

If he comes to our advanced camp, I would guess that he shows the coaches he is interested and gets that offer.

This is a much better Top 100, imo.

Not if past studies, that say that Scout's rankings are more accurate than Rival's rankings, are any indicator. John Clay at 66, alone makes it shaky. Scout has him at 12. That's a pretty big discrepancy, and much closer to where he actually should be. Mark my words, he'll end up as a top 5 player in this class, and that 66th ranking will make Rivals look pretty silly. Bernstine at 60, based on what, a couple combines?? What exactly did he accomplish on the field? As far as I remember, Clay was still the MVP of the Ohio State camp that Bernstine wowed everybody at. And prior to that, Clay was EA Sports Junior of the year, based on his play on the field. Superior play + superior measureables + a more valuable position = a lower ranking??? Yeah, I get that.

If you go by that logic...

Barksdale- Scout= not in top 100
Rivals= #17 (deservedly so)

Clifford- Scout= not in top 100
Rivals= #28 (also deservedly so)

Martin- Scout= #76
Rivals= #45 (still low IMO, but better)

Saine- Scout= #92
Rivals= #57

Korn- Scout= #25
Rivals= #3 (much better)

My point is, that all of the players above were grossly underrated by Scout and Rivals got their rankings closer to what they should be. Barksdale and Clifford not being in the Top 100 is absolute BS because they both more than deserve to be there. Yes John Clay is a little underrated on the Rivals list, but the Scout list is still worse.

In other words, I think the Rivals list is better...

These rankings right now mean less than nothing.

The kids have a YEAR of football left. Most of them have their best football ahead of them (robert rose), some have passable years (maurice wells).

The only rankings i'll care about are the final rankings in January-ish.

I gave up on all these rankings years ago. If a player doesn't get an offer at OSU camps then thats all that matters.Its either grades or others looked better there. Tressel and the staff know what OSU wants not some ranking service. I like all those 2 or 3 ranked players at OSU getting drafted. The staff proved it there.

sporting news by Jeremy crabtree, rivals.com has 21 from ohio ranked in there top MIDWEST but, no Clifford and no barksdale in there top 100

Easily better then scouts but, this was only done to keep all of us midwest fans happy.
