Reverend Dabo Swinney (HC Clemson Tigers - GSCS), random mid-century cars, and steroids

"When I go back to Alabama now I am about as welcome as Hitler at a bar mitzvah. Just call me Adolph Eichman Swinney." That would be a hoot.

or

"When I go back to Alabama now I am about as welcome as a Jew at a Christmas party. Just call me Dabo Christkilling Swinneystein." If people would just lighten the fuck up, everyone could have a good laugh with that one.

or

"when I go back to Alabama now I am about as welcome as a black guy in Alabama" I bet that one would go over big at parties.

That piece of shit Bin Laden was directly responsible for the deaths of thousands of innocent American civilians and he did it less than 20 years ago. There is just no good way for a public figure to be making jokes about it.

or (to draw an even closer parallel to his comments)

"I'm kinda like Timothy McDabo after blowing up Oklahoma in the 2015 CFP" :pumpkin:

So that whole ostarine thing was nothing... but this gets media attention ?
I couldnt give a shit. "darkest day in American history" ... somehow my mind goes to numerous Civil War battles, Fords theater, WWII battles ... not a singular terrorist attack on Wall Street. But then i lived in States that taught US History; not Lost Cause bullshit.
The comparison even seems apt and surely meant light hearted.
Still... ostarine could be found in cheeseburgers and shampoo... and the media nods their heads... fuck the 2010s.

More civilians died in the 9/11 attacks than U.S. soldiers died at Pearl Harbor.

The attacks launched a global war on terrorism that has been going for almost 18 years and has cost the lives of another 10K Americans with collateral civilian damage at uncountable level.

I think Dabo's comments were tone deaf at worst, personally, but to characterize 9/11 as a local attack on Wall Street/overblown local cause is pretty far from the mark imo.

But how many Chick-Fil-As were lost? We gotta cut Dabo some slack here. He’s not thinking like a normal person. He’s thinking like a man who lives in South Carolina.

to be sure, the y'all-qaeda faction down in south carolina loves the blurb. it's just too bad that he didn't end the comment by saying, "and if i get caught in alabama, i'm going to abort the mission like it's a fetus." now that would be an equal opportunity quote.

I swear to chick-fil-a Jesus I’m going to use that phrase at work tomorrow.
