So Bama faced approximately 452 run plays in 2014, 20 by Zeke and 432 by everybody else. And Zeke had the two longest.

... he'd have been run down.
Thank God he's got Dawn Elliott speed instead.
When Zeke hits the 50 yard line, the sideline ref was at the Alabama 41-42 yard line and was already running full speed toward the goal line, so the ref essentially had an 8-9 yard head start in a 50-yard dash, and they arrived at the goal line almost simultaneously. You think Zeke has speed? We should have recruited the ref. How he got there to signal TD as soon as Zeke scores I will never know. Now that is some zebra speed....
Some proposals made by the rules committee:
• Officials will be told to treat illegal equipment issues by making the player leave the field for one play. Examples cited were jerseys tucked under the shoulder pads and writing on eye black. The player can stay in the game if his team takes a timeout to correct the equipment.
Akron, Ohio: It is illegal to display colored chickens for sale.
NCAA Football Rules Committee is back at it again. The "slow-down" rule is officially off the table, but now they have to go jocking Zeke's success. Apparently, they were having trouble coming up with more things to improve the game, so they're proposing putting this in the books to get people talking about their other proposals. Link
Really??
What in the world is the problem with tucking jerseys under shoulder pads? What harm is caused? This reminds of the small-town laws against selling donuts on Tuesdays and similar silliness.

The NCAA is sticking its nose into all sorts of inappropriate places. Time to blow the place up.
The thing that gets me is writing on eye black. I would bet that half of the players do that and it's not even visible in most cases.
