Naples (FL) Naples

Height: 6-foot-1
Weight: 230 lbs
Forty: 4.55 secs
2007 stats: 943 yards rushing, 13 TD's

His lone offer right now is from Florida State.

Not much info out there right now on Carlos. He is one of the top, if not the best, power back in Florida for 2009. Originally from Ohio and grew up a Buckeye fan. Looks promising if the staff deems him worthy of an offer. Based off his film, there isn't a question that I would extend one. He is very fast for his size and the reported 4.55 looks accurate... pretty agile too with some very nice footwork between the tackles and in the open field avoiding would-be tacklers.

Now this is the type of kid I could see playing in Columbus, a big but speedy back. I don't want to make any comparisons prematurely, but he sounds a lot like a talented RB that we have playing for us already!

From the FSU site...Coach Fisher of FSU offered him two weeks ago. Also hearing from Ohio State, Wisconsin, Florida and Auburn. Says OSU is his favorite having grown up in Cincinnati. Talks about his visit to UF for a junior day.

Lets be careful.. there was a reason Chris Wells was a Top 3 nationally ranked player..

Hyde is a nice power back.. more in the PJ Hill mode than Chris Wells

PJ Hill is a very good back in his own right. Had he not battled injuries so much this year, he would have been right up there with Mendenhall and Wells on the All-Big Ten squads.
