Question about sigs.

If you don't have a sig, and then get one...do the posts that you posted when you didn't have a sig get one, or do they still remain without a sig. I know that if you change your sig, it changes your sig to that sig on all past posts...but I didn't know if it caused you to have sigs on posts you posted before you ever created a sig. Wow...that's a mouthfull.
