QB CJ Stroud (All B1G, 2022 B1G QB of the Year, All-American, NFL OROY, Houston Texans)

nobody attacked him as a person or man..we criticized him game. And it was warranted…last night he literally did everything people criticized him on not doing all year. He’s a damn great QB..PS…he beats Michigan this year if he played this exact same style he did last night…but that’s besides the point.lol
So many fans demand perfection and seem to have no memory of 50 years of OSU QB play prior to this recent run. He was outstanding on the field for 2 years…all time great. Last night just elevated that.

I was hard on him at times. Not for him lacking talent, not in the least. But for him lacking the occasional fire and not utilizing all his gifts - namely his athletic ability to extend plays as needed.

CJ showed all of us what he's capable of when he uses all the clubs in his bag. That Troy vs Notre Dame, Justin vs Clemson type game where you see them break through that glass ceiling of preparation and execution they hadn't
previously done. I'm proud of this offense, every single one of those guys. And you know it's a hell of game when you see Stroud, Bennett, Day and Kirby all exhausted and emotional. As a fan of the game of football, I suppose that's all we can really ask for, win or lose (preferably win though)

I think Stroud played himself into the #1 overall.

Damn.

I just wish the CJ in that post game pre
sser showed up a year ago. I would go to war anytime with that guy. The fire and heart he showed in this game means everything. Not the stats or the awards, the effort and the will it takes to be an Ohio State quarterback. He finally seems to get it. Buckeye Nation loves the explosive QBs and the winning arms but we absolutely adore the Krenzels and Barrets and Fields who are every breathe fighters. This game was about as close to perfect as a Buckeye QB can get. Wasn't sure he had it in him and it was amazing to get to see it. I hate to see him go to a shit team but I'll root for him anywhere he goes. New Orleans would be perfect wouldn't it?

He was the best QB we’ve had ..just not most accomplished. He did his job and more but the D kept asking him for more.

Yep, hard to be the most accomplished when the opponent averages 40.75 points in your four losses as a starter.

In the bowl game he won the opponent scored 45.
