While I wish him the best of luck as he goes forward, I certainly do not see him as a NBA type player. I just shuttered last season when he had the ball. His handle is so loose. I will admit that he can shoot the ball when he is and he can shoot the ball when he is not on. I guess good luck Duane playing in Europe. Wish you would have stayed for one more season of college basketball.

CBS Sports releases latest Top 100 NBA Draft Big Board

99. Duane Washington Jr., SG - Ohio State

Entire article: https://247sports.com/LongFormArtic...-Mobley-Scottie-Barnes-167475003/#167475003_1

Just sayin': Only 60 guys get drafted by NBA teams. If he:

1) would rather play in the G league or in a foreign country than playing another year in college.

and/or

2) feels he's maxed out on his potential and another year in college wouldn't improve his draft position.

He made the right choice; otherwise I believe that just maybe he should have opted to return to Ohio State for another year. Anyway (Once a Buckeye always a Buckeye) and I wish him the best of luck.

Undrafted tonight. Unfortunate but not unexpected. Even after his hot NBA combine performance he was still a ways off in terms of draftable, top-60 player.

Tough road ahead but hopefully he can carve out a role and some contracts in the near futue.

Boom baby. That was quick. I’ll get DWJ here in Indianapolis with the Pacers (er well, likely spending more time in Fort Wayne with the Mad Ants G-League).

Two way deal means he’s under team control for the next 2 years but can get added to the active roster for up to 50 games. Paid a minimum $450k salary last year. Not bad.

Time to make buckets and earn a spot.

With NIL now, this decision was poor. He didn’t have a crystal ball obviously, but he could’ve made a decent chunk of money and continued to improve at tOSU. NIL will make these college kids think twice before going pro going forward. There’s A LOT of money to be made as the face of a college basketball program.

He played 3 minutes and went 2 or 3 (one was a 3 pointer) for 5 points. Got a rebound too. Unfortunately it was during garbage time at the end of the 4th quarter:

2:19 Duane Washington Jr. makes 21-foot pullup jump shot (Brad Wanamaker assists)
1:59 Duane Washington Jr. makes 25-foot three point shot (Kelan Martin assists)
1:35 Duane Washington Jr. misses 25-foot three point pullup jump shot
58.3 Duane Washington Jr. defensive rebound
