Looks like Washington was on Team Two and played in games 1 (13 points) and 3 (18 points). Liddell was on Team One played in games 1 (5 points) and 4 (0 points). He didn't appear to play as well.

Sounds like EJ is leaning towards coming back and Duane towards leaving.

Only 60 players will be drafted in the NBA draft and for various reasons a few of those even drafted won't be on an NBA team or even have more than a 2-way contract* for the 2021/2022 season. So far I haven't seen Dwayne's name appear on any mock draft or even listed on a top prospect list (see 2 examples):

These guys can still make a lot of money playing in Europe if they go undrafted. Not gonna begrudge a guy for going to get paid to play a game they love.

NIL changes the equation a bit though not fully. But Ohio State football/Duke basketball players aren't going to be hurting as much to make some money for their family as they used to. Will be interesting to see how it settles out in a few years. But yeah that's not 100k and a free villa in greece or whatever a lot of players get in playing in Europe

The hype seems to be boiling over at this point. I hope he comes back and uses his offseason skills for the Bucks one more season.

I still think he needs a much tighter handle, lateral foot speed and decision making to succeed as a guard at the next level but the kid is fearless and can score a bucket.

He can certainly improve those things while getting trained and paid professionally full time. Only hope is his last shot as a Buckeye left a bad taste - but a $million dollar contract would fix that for me lol.

Washington said on Friday night that he hasn’t made up his mind yet.

“I have my college eligibility still. The decision date is July 7,” Washington said, noting the date by which he’ll have to make up his mind. “My process is a lot different than a lot of guys, so I'm just utilizing the process and what it holds and taking it day by day. A lot can change in a week. A lot can change in a day. For me, just getting better every single day and attacking the day to become a better player, better person. That's what I'm worried about and everything else will take care of itself.”

“I want to make it to the NBA but I don't want to play in the NBA for three year and be out,” Washington said. “So for me, I want to have a long-lasting career in the NBA. For me, a lot of guys aren't in my situation. If I do return to school, we're a top-five team and we have a chance to go do something great as Buckeyes. That's amazing. For me, just making sure it's the best decision for me and understanding that there's a short window here making it to the NBA. It's very, very hard to do. So for me, I'm two feet forward, trying to put my best feet forward to becoming an NBA player. We'll see how it plays out. I've got a couple weeks left to make a decision.”

ShowMeBuck You know what? Chicken butt.

First reaction is that I’m unhappy to see this.

But......a lot of shots just opened up for the rest of the team.

Wow. What a rise from the first few months of last season. Even going into the offseason I thought this was unexpected. Best of luck! Hopefully Holtmann has a guy he can point to as an NBA success.

It feels like this program loses more players to the G-league and Europe than other programs

Best of luck to the young man. Played his tail off for 3 years and had some great moments. If he can't catch on with an NBA team, he's plenty talented to carve out a pretty lucrative career overseas. Forever a Buckeye.

I am somewhat surprised even now. I don't expect to see Duane be an NBA draft pick or to make an NBA roster, but perhaps he is making this decision with an eye towards other professional leagues. But Holt already coached two players at OSU that have been on NBA rosters, KBD and Tate.

Fair, I almost said “another” NBA player. And despite those guys catching on, Duane truly feels like Holt’s first guy. Duane committed to him and was coached for 3 years so this could be his first real success story to claim. Really hoping he finds his way into the league.
