Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

And they play us the most consistent so that says enough about the other big ten teams.
Indiana played OSU very consistently for awhile too.
Purdue beats OSU more consistently.

They replaced Wisconsin.
They never caught MSU early 2010s.
They never caught Clemson or UF.

They are unrivaled.

JOHN DUNMORE, PENN STATE WIDE RECEIVER
James Franklin needs his wide receiver room to develop quickly after a disappointing 2019 season and the departure of KJ Hamler.

Hamler led the Nittany Lions in receiving with 56 catches for 904 yards and eight touchdowns. Two of the top four other pass-catchers were tight ends in Pat Freiermuth and Nick Bowers, and only one other wideout (Jahan Dotson) eclipsed 150 receiving yards on the year.

John Dunmore could be the spark Franklin is looking for.

Rated a 4-star recruit and the No. 120 prospect nationally in the class of 2019, Dunmore was one of the crown jewels of Penn State's recruiting class. He took a redshirt season last year as he added strength to his impressive frame, but he looks primed for a breakout season in 2020.

Speaking of Dunmore and fellow wideout TJ Jones, Nittany Lions quarterback Sean Clifford is excited about their potential.

“They have boatloads of talent, but you know, talent only gets you so much, you have to actually work for it and I think that they also have that work ethic," Clifford said last month, via Bob Flounders of Penn Live Sports. "I’m extremely excited. Although they’re young, I think that they’re both very capable of having great years. I’m just excited to get to work with them in person.”

Today's reason to be upset:
Your video game player has unfairly better ratings than my video game character, and it makes me sad.

https://bwi.forums.rivals.com/threa...21-drumroll-please-for-saquon-barkley.272216/

I guess Barkley is an 89 in the latest Madden game and Christian McCaffrey is a 99. Other players (according to that thread): Derrick Henry 93, Nick Chubb 92, Zeke 92, and some others.

Another example of people who want to find reasons to be angry are going to find reasons to be angry.

If there was a draft today, who on that board would go ahead of Saquon?
Maybe McCaffery

edit:
McCaffrey is a super all-around back and a great one. But he is no Saquon.

Its refreshing they are upset about a video game rather than ignoring/aiding/abetting/excusing child rape.

Every time I see there's new posts in this thread I hope to find that a giant sinkhole has developed in the middle of Pennsylvania and completely swallowed State College and PSU. Damn. Disappointed once again.

Sorry to disappoint you.
But today's update is another "they're disrespecting our guy so they're idiots!!"

https://bwi.forums.rivals.com/threads/30-players-better-than-saquon.273191/

Some dufus group (or maybe a guy living in his sister's basement) made a list of top 100 NFL players. The GOAT, Saquon Barkley, came in at 31. That seems high to me, considering his performance against Ohio State in 2017. But whatever. So they cry about the fact that someone thinks there are 30 players better than Barkley.

Not an all-star thread. But the fact that it exists and this thread was on the second page means that it has to be posted here.

Report: Penn State's Micah Parsons to Opt Out of 2020 Season, Prep for NFL Draft

One of college football's brightest stars is reportedly opting out of the 2020 college football season.

Penn State junior linebacker Micah Parsons, whom some analysts consider as a top-10 2021 NFL draft prospect, will not be playing for the Nittany Lions this year, per Eric Edholm of Yahoo Sports:

"Penn State linebacker Micah Parsons is expected to opt out of the 2020 college football season and declare for the 2021 NFL draft, sources told Yahoo Sports on Tuesday night.

"Parsons is expected to make the decision official Wednesday morning. Penn State had a team meeting Tuesday night, and multiple people close to the program are expecting him to leave barring a last-minute change of heart."
