2021 PA ATH Derrick Davis Jr. (LSU Verbal)

Any chance he attends “Buckeye Bash” and we come out on top or just the fact we have so many “db” recruits coming in and Franklins sweet nothings finally win out?

Acc. to Rivals the chance recently got better. Nothing definite yet but he is considering attending BB. Would love to see Franklin's "sweet nothings" turn out to be simply "nothing".

This Covid thing is making these young people's choices harder. Being able to go see a campus, being part of a recruiting trip where, admittedly, everyone is putting on the 'dog' and showing the best face possible, can be confusing for an 17-18 year old kid. However, NOT being able to experience fristhand the impact of a campus, facilities, coaches, teammates, etc has to make their four-five year decision that much harder. Who among us have taken a virtual tour of a house for sale, vacation getaway ad nauseum to get there and see the 'bad stuff' that was missing? I'd probably go with what I know and have seen, and certainly don't blame these young people for that. Having said all the above, if that school was 'up there' in one's evaluation, I'd move heaven and earth to get there to see/experience the place(s). Hope he makes it to BB. Go Bucks!

I don’t think Covid factors in to this kids decision. OSU has recruited DB at a very elite level the past few classes. There’s 3 possible Safeties in the 2021 class, we can all talk about the best not caring about competition, but kids want to play.

pnuts, didn't think Davis had been to see tOSU campus, which, if I remember correctly, most everyone believes to be a giant selling point. PSU's campus is also very beautiful as well, if my sources are correct. I'd want to see where I was spending 3-5 years if I was that young is all. Hope we get him. Also seems to me that the DBs are kinda interchangeable, in Coombs back end D. You're very correct, depth makes a difference to a kid, but he's gotta know that tOSU will recruit more S and CBs next year as well. Go Bucks!
