When will the most recent Buckeye commit make it back to campus? Plus, the latest on Kobi Simmons, a big target for Thad Matta's staff.

The first time '16 RB Antonio Williams checked out the Buckeyes' campus was on an unofficial visit on October 17th. That was when Ohio State dismantled Penn State in their black jerseys by a final score of 38-10. Williams undoubtedly walked away impressed with what OSU showed the the four-star prospect, because it ultimately led to a commitment from the 5'11, 210-pounder.

While Williams still has his official visit to Columbus in his back pocket, he tells me that he will be using yet another unofficial visit for his next stop. That stop will take place on November 21st, when the Scarlet and Gray square off against Michigan State. It will be the Buckeyes' biggest, most important game to date and is certainly not a bad game for the North Stanly (NC) star to attend. It'll give Williams a chance to become even more familiar with the coaching staff and other members of the 2016 recruiting class.

Will be in Columbus November 21st for the MSU game ❗⭕#TNtOSU

Simmons pushes back decision

When it comes to the 2016 hoops recruiting class, it's pretty much '16 G Kobi Simmons or no other additions for Ohio State. Of course they already have commitments from Derek Funderburke and Micah Potter, but they are also hoping to add the five-star guard from Georgia. The Buckeyes seemed to be in a relatively good position for the Alpharetta (GA) native. Unfortunately, Simmons pushed back his commitment date yesterday until the spring, so now who knows where things will go from here.

With the news of Simmons taking a step back, one would expect more new schools to jump into the picture for the 6'5, 170-pounder. Whether it'll eventually wind up as good or bad news for the Buckeyes remains to be seen. As of now, the good guys are the favorite to land Simmons on the 247Sports Crystal Ball. However, surely the chances for Ohio State looked better when they were going against just Kentucky and UNLV.

Hoops coaches on the road

According to Land-Grant Holy Land's own Zach Fleer, Ohio State assistant coach Jeff Boals was in Pennsylvania on Wednesday. Boals, who still deserves every coaching job opening ever, made a stop at Mars (PA) to check in on '18 SG Robby Carmody. Carmody is currently graded as a three-star prospect and holds offers from Cincinnati, Duquesne, Penn State, Pittsburgh, and Xavier.

While Boals spent his day in the Keystone State, head coach Thad Matta stayed in the state of Ohio but did make his way to Cleveland. Matta's stop was to Holy Name (OH), to visit '18 SG Dwayne Cohill. Cohill, much like Carmody, is a three-star prospect in the cycle and Penn State, West Virginia, and Youngstown State have all extended an offer to the local talent.
