Hopefully so, bigdog. However, the candle always burns brightly. As long as tOSU keeps recruiting New Albany hard, (and other places along the way), should be bright. Enjoy seeing these guys perform well, and like the commentary from this thread. UVA and USC (west coast version), are the folk enjoy seeing thrashed. Mix in some of the southern varietals, and mayhaps, this COULD be the year.

not wanting to raise expectations based on great dominant performance but undoubtedly the Bucks will be the team to beat for ita indoors, which will be in New York, Feb 16-19.
Yesterday's victory should be marked w an asterisk, imho. Uva was without their top 2 singles players. #1 Rodesch is playing Davis cup for Columbia and #2 Montes is out with an injury. A fully loaded uva will be a different animal later in the season.
So it’s early and I Still savor memories from last year when Bucks beat UVA 4-1 at charlottesville and then 4-0 in the ita indoors, but lost 4-0 in the ncaa finals.
Lots of upsets yesterday with #2 South Carolina losing to north carolina state and wake forest upsetting #9 Columbia.

Anyone know what kind of NIL $ these folk are getting? Gotta be something, as tOSU had some carry over of players, a la football Bucks. Just wondering if tennis is getting any of this money floating around. No reason why not.

There was an Alumni Magazine article in Dec that touched on it:

Got questions on student-athlete pay? He has answers

Assistant Athletic Director Logan Hittle shares how Ohio State helps students navigate Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) deal-making.
  • Q: I’m curious to know the percentage of athletes benefiting from NIL who participate in a non-revenue producing sport. I’m sure many of those athletes play a sport without an option to go pro. — Scott N. Smith ’87
A: Ohio State has had more than 450 student-athletes across all 36 sports engage in NIL activities. The majority of our student-athletes are not on full scholarships, and NIL allows them to potentially mitigate student-loan debt before graduation.
We have seen some of our Olympic sport student-athletes utilize camps and clinics to generate NIL revenue or become elite content creators, along with pursuing many other innovative NIL avenues, to generate personal revenue. Some of the sports that have led the way in NIL engagement include, yes, football, but also women’s volleyball and dance.
I'm sure that the men's tennis players are getting some NIL deals. However, needless to say, I don't think that they never real any specific amounts that any player in any sport has received though (other than seeing an athlete getting a car from Ricart*.....:gagnam:).

Ohio State football’s TreVeyon Henderson, left, got a lease on a 2022 Genesis GV70 in exchange for starring in Ricart Automotive Group promotions, including ads with its president, Rick Ricart.

Ohio State University running back TreVeyon Henderson is among the top football players in the country, but at Ricart Automotive Group he's just one of the "interns."
