Ohio State Men's Tennis (2014/2019/2024 ITA Indoor National Champs, 17 Straight B1G Titles)

From 2003 to 2015, Ohio State men's tennis put together the most impressive home win streak in NCAA history, winning 200 consecutive matches. When the streak was ultimately stopped, the Buckeyes were unfazed. They picked right back up and started again.

Thanks to South Carolina upset over uva,
USC (Cocks) beat UVa 4-3. UVa easily won the doubles point (6-1, 6-1) and then lost 4 of the 6 singles matches.

1. #9 Chris Rodesch (VA) def. #24 Justin Boulais (OSU) 6-4, 6-2
2. #26 Inaki Montes (VA) def. #11 Cannon Kingsley (OSU) 6-4, 6-2
3. #49 J vd Schulenburg (VA) def. #22 JJ Tracy (OSU) 6-2, 6-1

2024 #5 South Carolina 4, #1 Virginia 3

  6. Mans Dahlberg (VA) def. Carter Morgan (SC) 6-1, 4-6, 6-2
Apparently they lost 2 key ranked players from last year, #26 Montes and #87 Goetz. The 2 replacement Fr Dietrich and Grad (transfer from Penn) Graziani both lost their match against USC.

Just sayin': Maybe UVa isn't as good this year......

Thank you @ScriptOhio, love the flashback to compare squads.
Can't omit that Uva also had a big win over Texas last week, so they are clear top 3 even after dropping a battle vs usc.
Re. Uva lineup... Last years #2 Montes is still on the roster and eligible but isn't playing yet. If/when he returns they could easily dominate at nationals again.
Fans are in for some major showdowns in Feb with Bucks hosting #3 Uva on 2/2, #17 wake on 2/4 & #2 South Carolina on 2/11 at the ty Tucker center.
Against Toledo, Kingsley had a battle in a 3rd set breaker which concluded with this match point.

Bucks sweep Vanderbilt 4-0 to advance to the kickoff finals tomorrow.

Ohio State will play the winner of the Oregon - Boise State match (in progress):

Oregon 3 - Boise State 3
Court #5
Jett Middleton (BS) vs Ray Lo (O) 7-6, 4-6, 4-2...Middleton is up a break in the 3rd set, Lo now serving.

Update: Lo wins 3 games in a row and now he's up 5-4 in the 3rd set. Middleton seriving.

Another update: Middleton hold serve, the 3rd set is now 5-5, Lo serving.

Another update: 3rd set is now 6-6, so the are going to a tie breaker "all the marbles".
