His brother played there right? QB?

Plenty of insight from him if he needs. I don’t think it’s the move he’d make but if he wants to be a HC he’s gotta start somewhere. No expectations (but also no attraction).

Honestly, having been stationed in Tampa, I think if he’s going to take the step it should be somewhere in Florida. He would really do well at a place like USF, FAU, or UCF. The vibe fits him and he has very strong South Florida and Midwest recruiting connections. There are little expectations and ability to make a huge splash.

That said - Bjork needs to give the man a blank check.

I just don't see the point, for him, of taking a lesser HC job somewhere just to be a HC and/or have that on his resume. The guy clearly wants to be the HC at tOSU, if anywhere, AND he doesn't need to have been the HC somewhere else to get there. Day wasn't and he had no tOSU connection when Urban brought him in. Hartline can get coached up where he wants to be and take over when it's the right time. Day's not staying twenty years or even ten more. I'd be surprised at five or more. Hart's the next man up.
