Night practice (Now Thursday, 8-23 at 8 pm) Gates open at 5

Looks like there is an open practice for coachtressel.com sideline pass members:

April 14* ? Practice No. 11 Jersey Scrimmage in Ohio Stadium
* open to the media and ?Sideline Pass? members

Haven't heard anything on another night practice, but it would be nice to see again.

Wasn't the last night practice done somewhat hastily as a 'we're sick of hearing about how we can't win at night'/faux pep rally? Can't imagine that it would be as big a deal this year. It's not like we're going to Austin and to Iowa City for night games as a national title favorite.

On the other hand, it'd be nice to give the rookie QBs a simulated start under the lights so that we don't have a repeat of @ Northwestern 2004.

Night Practice?

FYI

It looks like this might be happening again this year! :osu:

The reason I believe so is that on the new Ohio State Athletic web site, the University has been auctioning off misc. items each week. One of the items up for auction (ending Aug. 10th) is listed as "Be the First in Line to Recieve Coach Tressel's Autograph." Then the Item description says that the Winner will be escorted to the front of Coach Tressels Table line at an autograph session that will be held on Monday August 20th, and shows a pic of Coach T @ last year's open Practice.

EDIT:

Yep, Open Football Practice at Ohio Stadium on Monday, Aug. 20th with a team autograph session happening before practice in similar fashion to last year's event. The details are still not completely finalized (times, etc.) but they will be releasing all details to the papers and web sites when known (and I would imagine relatively soon)

Aren't there something like 3 Big Ten road games at night for Ohio State? Penn State is a night game. I can't remember if the other two (Michigan, of course, isn't a night game) are night games.
