2021 NE CB Avante Dickerson (Oregon Verbal)

I said it last preseason the big ten west should look out for PJ and Minnesota. I know most dislike his personality but it's who he is and he's passionate about what he does. It's really not an act.

If PJ can go to the cotton bowl with Western Michigan (gave us a decent fight in 2015), and be a on the cusp top 10 team here in Minnesota. Imagine what he would do at a school like ours.

This revolts people when I say it but if Ryan Day were to ever leave for the pros I would want PJ Fleck.

He'll be coaching in the sec by then...if clemson hasn't got him. Or maybe Clemson will be IN the sec.

I refuse to think about Day leaving so I won’t address that, but imo I think it would be cool to see Fleck build something in Minnesota. I think it could be elevated to a Wisconsin-esque program under him; and hopefully they’d pay him accordingly if he’s able to achieve that or show he’s on his way.

I guess I just like seeing good coaches and talent in the conference.

Oh I agree... I'd bet that PJ wants to win a natty and we all know that isn't happening at Minnesota.

Very well could be though. If Saban retires soon and then Dabo goes home to Alabama wouldn't be shocked to see Clemsom go there.

Anyways Minnesota has the facilities to compete with anyone now (go look up their new facility its awesome) and pretty soon they'll have the talent to compete with most.

Avante Dickerson, No. 49-ranked prospect overall, commits to Oregon Ducks

He had been committed to Minnesota, and was the highest-ranked commit the Gophers have ever had, but he decommitted on Jan. 24 after not signing in December.

When he opened his recruitment back up, Dickerson was then considering Oregon, Nebraska and Minnesota, and ultimately chose the Ducks.
