I'm wearing Gold Pants
I was at EB Games yesterday and saw they are taking reservations for NCAA 2006.

Will any of you consider not getting the '06 version considering that the new X-box & PS3 may come out at X-mas and the '05 version was only a slight improvement over the '04?

I'll probably fork out my $50 no matter what just b/c I'm an addict.

In other news... I also saw that Sega released a NCAA 2k3 (Eric Crouch is on the cover) the same season as EA Sports released the inagural NCAA 2003 - I had never even heard of it!

i'll get it for sure, but i will probably regret it when i get the xbox and football for that.

speaking of good games....

i love the first person shooter games. halo2 is ok, but too slow for me. fuck stealthing around. i like to stick and move and shoot the shit out of people.

timesplitters 3 just came out and it is a very good shooter, much more fun than halo2 for me personally. lots of boards, guns, characters, and even a mapmaker so you can always have new boards.

i got my workplace floor plan and have been slowly making my factory to play deathmatch in. kind of psychotic i guess, but fun all the same.

I play first person shooter less and less.

I guess I burned out playing all of the weak imitations of GoldenEye.
agreed.

timesplitters is made by the same people who made the original goldeneye though. same speed and solid graphics. kind of goofy, but easily the best shooter i own.

I refuse to buy it, fuck EA.

I wish to hell Sega would release a college football game this year, since they cant do the NFL ones. NCAA 2005 was the worse ever, especially on xbox. All they do is change the rosters each year and release the same game. Might as well just keep playing 2004 and update the rosters.

FWIW I played NCAA 2005 on both XBOX & PS2 and the XBOX play is about half the speed of the PS2 which REALLY drags the game down in my opinion. I've never been a huge fan of the XBOX, but it really lost a lot of love with me here.

Not the xbox's fault there though, game was designed for the PS2, they ported it to the xbox, which doesnt work right. EA will do anything to save a dime.

Honestly the Xbox is about 4 times the system that the PS2 is. Course I'll take the PC over any of them :)

Right but remember that 3/4 of the PS2 games suck. Sony gets all those little developers that will just release any old piece of shit so that the System has "2000 titles" or whatever. The PS1 was the same story :)

I like both systems, just hate the gamecube. Nintendo needs to give it up.
