I would agree with you. But I certainly don't think we needed 2 TEs in the 2022 class. And with the Gee Scott switch of positions, the position is now too deep for how we utilize the position. Another OL(more specifically an OT) is very much so needed in this class.

Absolutely my take on this one. I was in "trust the coaches" mode after Gosnell committed with Bennett also in the fold, but was curious why we had 2 TEs in the class. And now the situation may have resolved itself. I am with everyone else in this thread though, a true OT would be a nice way to fill the spot if it's there.

GOSNELL CLOSE TO CHOOSING SCHOOL

After decommitting from Ohio State on July 27, former OSU tight end commit Benji Gosnell is reportedly close to deciding on his new school, per 247Sports’ Brian Dohn. According to Dohn, Gosnell’s recruitment is coming down to North Carolina and Virginia Tech.
