I am assuming this is Ben Mauk's brother.

Yup. And he dismantled my Valley View Spartans in the playoffs last year. Ouch. Our own Mercerbuck sent me a PM regarding Kenton right before the Spartans played Mauk's squad, and in it he had a lot of praise for Mauk, who he'd seen against Coldwater during week one last year. I didn't get to see the VV/Kenton game, but my family did and echoed Mercerbuck's observations: Good arm (maybe not as good as his brother's), very accurrate, not easily rattled by pressure, clearly a coach's kid, and athletic enough to scramble if need be.

WOW, those are video game like numbers. I'm not familiar with his team, what kind of offense does he run?

With the Miller issue(Florida), I hope we offer quite a few QB's. I can't lie recruiting someone who already knows how throw the ball does sound intriguing, 351 for 576 is a 61% comp avg. Does he have a strong supporting cast (line, receivers, etc)?

Let me say first by saying not sure where we would stand with our chances on this one...

And what I saw of him in the one game that I saw him, wasn't sure...But obvoiusly he was only a sophomore...

I didn't see the better than Ben talk...

They run a 5 wide set, throw the ball just about every down...The dbs in the WBL can't cover all receivers...

Thus the reason for his huge numbers...Lots of screen passes, and short passess...

Makes sense, that is a challenging offense to defend in HS. In regards to Florida, with no QB in this class, and the full court press we have our hands full on the Miller front.

It feels as if some think Mauk is a little over rated is that correct, even though he is so young?
