William Johnson (DB ttun)

any insight into why the dad doesn’t like us? is he legacy scum?

Yeah, Grosse Pointe (Mich.) South 2022 five-star cornerback Will Johnson is considered one of the best in the country in his class. Many quickly realized he would be a top talent early on in his high school career, but none sooner than his father, Deon Johnson.

If he has aspirations of actually winning anything beyond the spring game I hope his dad isn’t so selfish as to keep him from coming to OSU. I hate ttun with a passion but if they offered my kids the best opportunities to achieve their goals far above and beyond anybody else, then I’m all for it.

I mean, he could live in central Ohio with a dad who played at Ohio State pushing him to follow in his footsteps. That would probably be considered a better set of circumstances.

I guess I should've been more clear. For a kid whose dad played at TTUN, we have a good a shot as we could hope for with Coombs recruiting him to a position where we put player after player into the league.

Coombs versus dad. Should be interesting.

UM has been smart in trying to infuse their staff with some young recruiters. Nothing else has worked. UM's new recruiting strategy could be like spending your last $400 Boardwalk. You don't really need it and don't plan to develop it but you don't want others to have it.

I get he is a ttun legacy but does he really want to face off against our WRs for 3-4 years. That's not a wise business decision as a DB.
In my honest opinion hes not too concerned about WRs and neither is his dad.

Though I agree with you thats not a wise business decision. Ask DPJ how that business decision went...
