They're playing Florida tough. I hope they beat 'em. I hate Florida, I hate that gaywad (not that there's anything wrong with that) Matt Walsh, and I hate their Eddie Munster-lookin' coach. May they rot in hell.

Everytime I look at the bottom of one of your posts I shake my head! A school for bb and one for fb well it just aint right! Who would you root for if OSU played Kentucky in basketball?

I don't have a problem with this except for the fact that it is Kentucky. :sick1: Funny thing is, I actually liked Kentucky until I met one of their fans. At that point, I became about as anit-UK as possible!

27 From what I recall does not have both schools at the bottom of his posts.
And I know I am probably being 'PETTY" but it just does not seem right to be able to choose from among the best in each sport. Actually it seems a slap in the face to OSU bb and KY fb.....

But yeah 27 is still playing the same game!

When I was a kid I liked UCLA basketball alot (but ND broke that 88 game win streak) but man if I were to do the same thing with ND football and UCLA basketball now that would be alot of titles!

NDC, if you grew up in the area I grew up in, you might understand it better. I'm not the only one around here. When Kentucky plays OSU in basketball, I root for Kentucky. If it's anything else, I root for OSU. I root for OSU basketball too, but it's not on the same level at which I love UK basketball and OSU football. I love everything about OSU - I just grew up with a very deep appreciation for Kentucky Basketball.

It would be a slap in the face if I was old enough to know better when I formed my rooting interests. I was a young kid, and this is what I've stuck with since then. I don't suddenly become and OSU basketball fan when things go sour at UK or anything like that. I'm with them win or lose, and the same goes for OSU football and everything else. I'm still an OSU basketball fan - they're just number two on my list.

Same as you as I grew up in Indiana! And I have a great deal of respect for the history of IU basketball, but you heart bleeds one or the other NOT both! IMO rooting for one school over the other because of a sport is crap! Sorry just my opinion...

GO IRISH!

Whatever... We've had this argument before, and I don't really want to have it again. It isn't about tradition and respect. I didn't even know about UK's tradition when I started rooting for them. I just knew I liked them - in large part because that's what the people around me liked. That's how I ended up a Browns fan too (there's proof positive I'm not a frontrunner), even though I've never even been to Cleveland. You're the only person I've ever encountered that's had a problem with this. Everyone else I've talked to thinks it's perfectly fine. It's not like I'm changing allegiances all over the place. I made my choices as a youngster, and I've stuck with them all, through thick and thin.

jlb; I know what you're saying. I've rooted for UK basketball since I was a young kid. I also root for OSU basketball, and if they were playing each other, I don't know who I would pull for. I am I diehard OSU football man though.

Your right we have had this before but I do have to ask how old are you? Seems like a thing a youngster would do,ala 27! LOL! Sorry just dont get it! So why not KY in football and OSU in football if I may ask?

Besides if I remember correctly there were several on this board who did not get it!

I'm 24. And that's a fair question you ask - I don't know why the other way. This reflects the rooting interests of my dad and his friends, and the things I watched when I was with them as a child.

Anyway, back on topic... OU is within 5 with 3 1/2 left...
