Les Miles (grass eater)

"LSU had just given him this new contract, and the president of Domino's Pizza flew down on a Domino's plane and offered him [the Michigan job], and he says, 'You've got to tell me tonight, Les, because if you don't say yes, I'm going to get Brady Hoke.' And sure enough, he took off and the next day you read in the paper that he hired Brady Hoke."

Les Miles Reportedly Assembling A Staff For New Coaching Job

Former LSU head coach Les Miles has reportedly been working on assembling a staff for a new coaching job in 2017, according to ESPN's Brett McMurphy.quote:

Former LSU Tigers coach Les Miles has been working on putting together a staff, including reviewing possible offensive and defensive coordinators, as he remains committed to returning to coaching in 2017, a source told ESPN on Thursday.

Miles was fired Sept. 25, four games into his 12th season at LSU, where he was 114-34, won a national title, two SEC championships and 10 or more games in his 11 full seasons.

Sources said Miles and his representatives have already been contacted about coaching in 2017. Miles told ESPN on Thursday that he would not discuss any specific job opportunities, either college or NFL.

How do you put a staff together when you don't know the school? I'm sure some coach would like to be bumped up from QB coach to Offensive Coordinator with full playcalling duties (hint hint), but until you know that it's for ND instead of Purdue, how can you tell Les you're his guy?

Purdue president would blow Vladimir Putin to get Les Miles.

Les Miles says it’s pretty simple, “I want to coach football.”

Les Miles, the former head coach of the LSU Tigers still has no plans to transition into a peaceful retirement. After being let go by LSU last fall, Miles put his hat in the ring for a handful of coaching opportunities that did not pan out, but the Mad Hatter still has his eye on coaching in the future. As a guest speaker at a coaching clinic at Nebraska over the weekend, Miles made it clear he still wants to be a coach.

Miles making a guest appearance at Nebraska is not all that surprising. His son, fullback Ben Miles, committed to the Cornhuskers and will be a freshman in Lincoln this fall.

Report: Les Miles interested in Oregon State vacancy

Citing multiple sources, the Corvallis Gazette-Times is reporting that former LSU and Oklahoma State head coach Les Miles is interested in the same job at Oregon State. The Beavers are on the hunt for a replacement for Gary Andersen, who abruptly stepped down from his post last month. OSU is currently being led by interim head coach Cory Hall, who is 0-3 and isn’t considered a likely candidate for the permanent job.
