James doesn't understand why Ohio State didn't start running back Antonio Pittman from the start.

''I like Antonio Pittman,'' James said. ''I'm not biased because he's from Akron. I'm not the coach of that team, but I know football. He hits the holes better than the other two running backs. I'm not downgrading them.''

While we're on the subject, James said he'd stick with Troy Smith at quarterback, too.

''He brings a lot more to the game than (Justin) Zwick,'' James said. ''In this day in age, it's the more athletic quarterbacks that make the plays.''

I didn't realize that Lebron was a QB coach and had been evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of these quys since their high school recruitment.

LBJ was a 1st team All Ohio receiver his Soph, and Junior years at ST.V.

He stopped playing f-ball his senior year to concentrate on b-ball.

As was mentioned, he was a receiver in high school and a very good one. If I remember correctly he always said football was his first love, but basketball was a better long term choice.
