LB Randy Gradishar (All B1G, All-American, CFB HOF, NFL Defensive POY, NFL HOF)

Lots of great players on that list...

Then you get to the scumbags like Modell and Irvin...even though I personally don't like Modell, he is much better than Irvin, who managed to get a job on ESPN even though he was busted for posessions...and I believe there were other incidents earlier in his career as well

Good luck to Randy. Watching him at OSU and then in the Orange Crush defense is right on the periphery of my memories as a youth. Unfortunately, the memories of him as a pro are stronger than those of him as a Buckeye.

Modell shouldn't get in until he dies. Irvin shouldn't get in until Lllloyd can lose with dignity instead of his typical whining.

Randy is one of my favorite football players of all time. He was a tremendous Buckeye, and one of the all-time Broncos. Not only was he a great athlete, but he's a great person. A guy like Randy Gradishar belongs in the Hall of Fame.

As a little kid, I always hated my name. I was named after a "friend" of my parents according to them. I was like, "didn't you have any friends named "Bob" or "Jim" or "Dave" or "Mike?"

In 1972 that all changed. At 10 years old, when someone would ask me my name I'd tell them, "Randy, like in Gradishar."

A great Buckeye and a great NFL star, best wishes to Randy on being inducted, it is way overdue.

Rick Reily was just on the Dan Patrick show (ESPN Radio), and was asked who he would put into the HOF (off the current list) if he had a magic gold ticket (Willy Wanka & Chocolate Factory) ... Randy Gradishar. No hesitation. He can't believe Randy isn't a member yet. Said Randy was the best linebacker of his generation and that everyone in the NFL would tell you that. Just a problem of playing in a "fly-over" state and getting little media attention.

We're proud either way Randy, but we hope you get your due.

I'm no Denver fan, but I have to say that the Orange Crush has gotten a monumental hose-job. Their unit was not as flashy as the Steelers of the 70's, but it was nearly, if not every bit as good, and yet nearly the entire Steeler D is in the Hall, and there isn't one single member of the Denver teams of the mid-late 70's. Randy should be the flagship for that defense, and he should be in the Hall...this year. I hope he will be, because I will get to see him if he is.

So true...

Only Elway is in as a true Bronco. Willie Brown played 2 years in Denver, and Tony Dorsett played his last year there, but their careers were obviously made elsewhere (Raiders and COwboys respectively).

Gradishar needs to be in...now.

Unfortunately, Randy didn't make the final list of 15 this year. It's too bad that Broncos team of the late '70s on defense, and he in particular, doesn't get enough credit...especially since their offense was 50x worse than the 2000 Ravens.
