Last minute fantasy league

Sure, why not... I already have one for Saturday morning so I need the practice :)

The only thing is my work blocks every gaming site so I would not be able to sign up for the league til I get home. So hold me a spot!

I am going to get the best setup I can right now.

I think I'll just do yahoo.

If there are options for live draft (might not be, or only one date/time) I will post for a quick decision.

Okay, any draft date preferences? Tomorrow or Saturday?

Saturday morning for those blocked at work?

My preferences are early Saturday (doctor's appointment - blah) or friday to finish the day at work. Like 4:00 or something.

Or friday night, though it may infringe on our beer time. :)

Two last questions for preferences:

Head to head or rotisserie?

10 or 12 people? Think we'll fill that? (we could always drag some others in from off the planet. . .)

i cant do it saturday morning. friday to finish work would be perfect for me..............unless i actually get some work to do.

do 12....thats the max. if we dont get 12 then thats fine too. i have no preference between head to head or rotisserie because i dont know the difference :p

You have chosen for your league to take part in a live online draft on Fri Apr 1 1:00pm PST. Until that time, you (and only you) can change the type of draft by using the Change Draft Type option found among your Commissioner Tools, which can be reached from your League Overview page.

If you choose to remain in a live draft, please arrive at the draft 10 minutes ahead of the scheduled time. The draft will start promptly and may conclude rapidly if only a few managers are logged in.

Let me know if there are problems with the draft time, etc. Also - check out the stats. I tried to make it balanced but we'll see. . . (last year's favored all slugging, for instance)

1pmPST/ 4pmEST is cutting it close for those that want to rush to get home that can't access at work. I assume their were not times available later that day right? But that live draft option can be changed if we can't get enough.

For me Saturday is horrible, with my BIG draft that morning then afterwards I am heading to Niagara Falls with the little woman to gamble. So Friday would be great.

EDIT - Oh, since I can't get onto Yahoo til later, what was the scoring system you picked?

First of all, I can change the draft time when everyone picks what is best. I am fine with after work on Friday if everybody else is.

Also, I chose rotisserie. For those who don't know, it is (i think) a system where rather than weekly head-to-head matchups or points totals, people are ranked in each statistical category. The lowest overall ranking wins. E.g., 1st in hits, 2nd in slugging, 5th in wins, first in strikeouts, etc.

I can also still change the scoring league type (if you want head to head - points gets too boring). And I can change the catgories if you want. Here are the categories I selected, 10 for each hitting and pitching:

Hitting:

Roster Positions: C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, OF, OF, OF, Util

Stat Categories: R, H, HR, RBI, SB, GIDP, E, AVG, OBP, SLG

Max Games Played: 160

Pitching:

Roster Positions: SP, SP, RP, RP, P, P, P

Stat Categories: W, L, SV, H, BB, K, HLD, ERA, WHIP, K/BB

Max Innings Pitched: 1250

Bench/DL

Five bench and two DL spots

shit. the draft tester thing failed on my firefox and IE. ill have to bring in my laptop and hope its not a firewall issue.

i wont be able to draft after work on friday....but dont change anything on my account.

Well I chose the end-of-work plan for you and me; maybe we should just switch to after work?
