"I need a little help with the forums/state of the site" dicussion.

I'm as guilty as any in letting some of my political views seep into the football forum (one just today...right before I read this...oops, sorry)

It won't happen again.

Suggestion - can we make the open discussion and political forums like the Romper Room where you have to ask to be admitted? Then we can warn folks what they are in for and let them make their own call?

Also, can we do the same as thing for the New Posts link. Make the default the sports only threads and you can add others if you like? I know some folks get into other forums be mistake because they use New Posts to browse the site.

Oh8 those were my recommendations exactly....

I agree completely with most recent messages, it can get cluttered when the conversations get rolling. I don't have any problem at all with the fun and I'm usually involved as much as anyone, but we would be better off by separating that type of discussion from the main board.

I definitely intend to limit the "new posts" list to just the football, basketball, baseball and 'other OSU sports' general and recruiting threads. Unfortunately, all that is hard coded into the software, and I just need to re-figure it all out.

As far as everything else, I'm going to go post in the "get our act together" thread.

I don't wanna sound like a prude, I'm far from it, and the "F" word sadly is in my vocabulary. But, it's used way too frequently here when it really doesn't have to be. When your really pi$$ed about something it comes out, and that is understandable, but there are a select few here who really abuse the word. One is a title of a Bruce Willis movie and the other sports Eddie's number in his moniker. Again, I'll be the first to admit that I use the word in my own life, but not to the extent of "Scarface." Peace.
