Oklahoma has proved this not be true. You need at least a passable defense if you want to win anything
I'm hopeful the defense will show enough improvement in the next few weeks under a new leadership setup to be marginally better than Oklahoma. Call me a dreamer. Surely there's better talent here that just needs a little opportunity to play almost-sound fundamental football.

Quite the dreamer. We're 112 in the nation bad I think Oklahoma's defenses are usually in the 80's or so. So Oklahoma would be a huge step up for this defense as is.

I have to say I'm so confused with how we are handling our WRs and our offense in general from a personnel stand point.

We basically only play 2 and 5 at WR and we play 16 and 34 a good bit. We are going to continue having issues hanging onto kids at WR if we don't start getting more WRs on the field. I realize they like the blocking from the tight ends but gosh to play them over Harrison/Egbuka/Fleming?

I realize we have to call plays to score and not to make people happy but anyone else feeling anxious that our depth at WR is being grossly ignored?

Dude has made one hire that looks like bunk. See if he fixes it before you frek out. Meyer made what 4? Tim Beck, Withers, THe OC choice post Herman, Grinch... Yes the D is bad but jeez

The only one freaking out is you. The facts are, as I've said already, Ryan Day was handed a loaded team and Justin Fields. Most coaches could've succeeded in the short term. But it's his team now and this is his first head coaching job - why Ohio State is anyone's first head coaching job is another question - so it's on him to prove he's up to it. Recruiting is great, but it takes more than recruiting to play with the big dogs. Day has some work to do, and the pressure is on him (rightly so) to do it.
