SWEET!

I'll sign up for ESPN-HD on DirecTV today and cancel after the game... they'll pro-rate so it's kind of like PayPerView-ing the game for about $0.30

Niiiiiice.
Sports in HD is the only want to watch sports, period.
I get mad when I have to watch non-HD sports now.
Curses to time warner and sinclair for, as of now, no HD superbowl.

Just got my HDTV a few weeks ago and am really diappointed in the amount of HD broadcasting Time Warner does. I still don't understand why they don't pick up the ABC HD feed. I was planning a Super Bowl to show off my new set, but I would be embarrased to have anyone watch a STD feed of the game.

Really looking forward to seeing the Buckeyes in HD.

If you have a built in tuner all you should need is an antenna and
you will be able to pick up Fox and ABC HD channels.

the HD channels Time Warner has look awesome.... Yesterday, I asked someone at TW whether they will get FoxHD before the Super Bowl and they said they are currently trying to work out a deal with them before the game. I guess they are rushing to get it done, according to the service rep.

It all depends on who owns the local affiliate. Sinclair owns the columbus stations,
and is current fighting with time warner over carrying the HD channels (fox 28 and wsyx).
Its complete bullshit if you ask me.

I live in Florida and have bright house, which has ABC,Fox,CBS in high def,and the dicks at NBC don't want to give them the rights for HD for some strange reason, but I get NBC in HD on the sat,so I'm covered,Bright House also has Espin in HD too.Bright House in my area has been kicking butt by offering HD Tivo's too,I'll keep this OSU game.Once you get used to HD,you don't want anything else.

So you can get local HD channels over your satellite? Which service is it (ie DirecTV or Dish, etc)? My local channels are coming from too far away for standard rabbit ears and I can't get them in HD from the sat, but if you can maybe it's coming here eventually!?!?
