Apparently, Jason Gwaltney is posting on the BSB premium message board right now. I can in no way verify his actual identity, nor do I have a subscription to know what he says, but if someone does they may want to check it out. Could be just a hoax as well, so take it with a grain of salt.

Who wants to be the one to tell posters at BSB that if any of them happen to be season ticket holders they are boosters and cannot tell Jason to come to O-State. The NCAA sees that as a definite NO NO.
It's only a matter of time until ESPN is all over this...

I have tried to raise the issue about the NCAA and posting restrictions over here as well (in reference to Taz). I just don't know how the NCAA can begin to regulate message boards. But let's hope BSB has a handle on it.

Contacting Recruits via Bucknuts <hr size="1"> Just a reminder from the board rules:

The NCAA governs message boards the same way they do personal, real-time contact. Use of these message boards for direct involvement in the recruiting process is strictly prohibited. No attempts to contact or sway recruits will be allowed on these boards. Under no circumstances should fans attempt to make any contact with a recruit. </td></tr></tbody> </table>

I believe the only real fear is if it was set up by an Ohio State sports site to intentionally try to persuade the kid to attend their program. If he just happens to show up, I think the NCAA expects overzealous fans to get excited and start hyping their university. If BSB were to try to set something up like this, they may step in if it were brought to their attention.
