QB Prentiss "Air" Noland (Official Thread)

The proof is in the numbers. Noland's numbers don't lie. He is the real deal. They are ridiculous.

Raiola's numbers are suspect. I really don't know much about Sayin.

This whole thing reminds me of that scene from Moneyball when the old scouts are talking about how a guy looks good in a uniform and how the girlfriend looks making them better prospects.

Sure, Raiola probably looks the part, and in camps he can throw a good ball, but comparing the numbers in real games against legit competition, Noland blows Raiola out of the water.

It really isn't even close.

We got the real deal.

We can add Keinholz to that list, but Noland really faced legit competition. It will be interesting.
I think even more important than just the numbers, was Noland's competition. It's some of the best in America.
And, IMO, Keinholz is not in the same breath as Noland. And I see Noland overtaking Kleinholz if they're in a competition straight up. Noland is that good. What makes Raiola the QB1 in the class, is his size and strength. He has NFL size as a HSer, and that's rare. But the question of his ceiling is there, and also how UGA will utilize him. Because Noland is in a much better offensive scheme

In moneyball the scouts were critical of a prospect because his girlfriend was ugly — which they thought was an indicator of low confidence.

“The girlfriend is a 6 at best”

Noland came back to the Atlanta stop of the Rivals Camp Series this year like a man on a mission. The lefty Ohio State commit has a strong, quick delivery and hits his target on a consistent basis. Noland can throw with accuracy to all parts of the defense but it was very impressive to see how he remained accurate while he was throwing on the move and seemed just as comfortable doing so.
The improvement in Noland's game over the last year has been outstanding and it should be reflected in the next rankings update.

"So what does it all mean? Is there any real concern? The short answer is no. Noland has not, according to Dotting the 'Eyes sources, decided on taking other visits but has asked the staff in Columbus what they'd think if he did."

...

"As for Noland himself, he's clear about the way he feels about the matter and the Buckeyes.

"I’m locked in with Ohio State," Noland told DTE. "I have no interest in any other school but Ohio State. Nothing has changed."
