Florida is widely believed to be the biggest threat in Walker’s recruitment, with the Gators recently making a push to land his teammate, four-star defensive end Derrick LeBlanc, who will also announce his commitment that same day. Ohio State was once a top option for LeBlanc, as well, but interest appears to have subsided on both sides in recent months.

BuckTwenty, like my Johnny Walker black, and my ladies blonde.....remember that quote? I'm a single malt guy, mostly Laphroig. Went on a cruise, traded the four bottles in the cabin for a quart of Glenfiddich. Might be a game changer.

This is a BEAST in the 2023 class!!!

Kissimmee (Fla.) Osceola defensive lineman John Walker was back in Columbus this past weekend making an official visit to Ohio State. It was the second time Walker has visited Ohio State with both of his parents and the visit went very well.

“I liked everything about it,” Walker told Bucknuts. “I had a good time talking to coach (Larry) Johnson, coach (Ryan) Day and the coaches. They said I’m a priority. I would have the opportunity to play early. I really liked everything. I had a really good time.”

Walker has made official visits to UCF, Michigan, Miami and Ohio State. He had planned to make an official visit to Florida Oct. 15 and then announce his college choice on Oct. 22. But that plan has changed.

Walker posted on his Twitter account that he now plans to announce his college a bit sooner while also posting his final five schools.

“My five are Florida, Ohio State, Miami, Michigan and UCF,” Walker told Bucknuts. “And I’ll be announcing on July 28.”
