Jaheim Singletary (CB Georgia, transfer to ???)

This one just stings a little from the talent perspective, not the amount of DBs we have committed in previous classes. You never like losing a top 10 overall prospect regardless of the position. It would be like if we lost Jeff Okudah in his class... plenty of other talented DBs in his class and the classes around him, but he ended up being pretty integral to our team. But I'm glad we have time to sort it out and I'm not terribly worried.

Once the ban on visits was lifted June 1, Singletary scheduled an official visit to Ohio State for June 25. He also took a couple of visits to Georgia (Official visit June 18) in June along with one to Florida and one to Miami.

Singletary had never been to Ohio, so the visit was going to tell him a lot about his feelings towards Ohio State.

That is where things changed.

“I love the coaches at Ohio State and it is a great school with great players, but the feeling there was just different,” said Singletary. “That is why visits are so important. The vibe at Ohio State just didn’t match me.

“I had that feeling in my gut before I left for the trip. I am not sure what it was, but I just didn’t have the feeling I needed to have on the visit. Before I left Columbus that I knew I was going to re-opened my recruitment.”

Can't argue with that. Hopefully he finds what he's looking for.

It will be interesting to see which vibe matches Jaheim Singletary.
It’s also interesting (to me) that he couldn’t determine if he liked the vibe or not until after he visited.

I feel like you can interact and vibe with the coaches and players extensively outside of a visit.

So from my view he was either looking for a different campus atmosphere—which is potentially a red flag around lack of focus/priorities—or he was looking for some McDonalds bags that weren’t handed over… maybe both.
