Jaheim Singletary (CB Georgia, transfer to ???)

I would call it extremely damaging, at the very least. I'm not aware of other top-drawer cornerback prospects we have a solid relationship with.

I agree with @ShowMeBuck , this isn't a devastating loss. One kid doesn't make or break classes at OSU(or Bama, Clemson, OU or UGA). I've/we've seen Coombs turn 3 and 4 sars into 1st round picks, and kids who are playing on Sundays and were still drafted. Once kids hit college campuses, coaching matters more than solely HS talent, we've all seen highly rated kids not produce like what we expected based off of HS stars. The large DB haul from 2021 makes losing Singletary not as much of a big deal. And let's not underestimate the talent of Brooks, Turner, Brown and Stokes. If Singletary wants to stay or go, good for him. Go Bucks!

Meh. If he thinks UGA is a better fit then it’s not meant to be and the Buckeyes will be just fine.

This staff knows exactly what they are doing and the culture and kind of players they are seeking out.

If it’s not a fit. Ok. That’s fine. If it’s a good fit…..excellent. Let’s roll.

No offense to UGA but anyone picking them over tOSU is a complete moron. Yeah they're good but they arent anywhere near the top echelon and I mean that.

Well over the last five years there have been a lot of really talented morons that have committed to UGA ....
Georgia is one of the most baffling things I have seen. Amazing recruiting midling results. With most teams that means after a few years the recruit drops off when they don't break through but that hasn't seemed to have happened with them.

It could be that Georgia is signing a lot of kids who like being 5-star recruits but don't care so much about being 5-star college football players....

I mean their D's are pretty salty. Their O's are just stuck in the Jim Harbaugh, Les Miles manball level of disfunction. They are what Bama would be if Saban would have stuck to what got him there and not evolved.

Understand the sentiment of “this isn’t a big deal,” but we’re in an arms race ultimately with Alabama. They are gonna be the measuring stick. If you look at it from that lens, well, yeah, I know it’s nauseating. Won’t deny it.

We all know the Buckeyes will be okay, not sure that’s the point, though. Certainly doesn’t make or break a class, that should go without saying. All just part of the game.

Just to let everyone know, he didn't visit UGA the last 2 days, he's been in Coral Gables at Miami. He's been very close with Travaris Robinson who's their new CB coach. Had a relationship since he was at the fake USC(he was the 2nd offer to Singletary). I'm sure it's somewhat serious but nearly as serious as UGA. We could still lose him due to coaching relationship, but I still like Coombs/Barnes in the end.

Against Miami yeah I like our odds..shoot even against UGA I like our odds since players will be getting paid legally now anyways.

I actually feel the opposite in regards to NIL and UGA. UGA players will also make big money. Miami will be a nuisance until the end, and that coach TRob may make getting FL DBs a little more difficult
