DT Eddrick Houston (Official Thread)

Anyone other than me questions the motivation here? Due to my Negative Nellie thought process, wonder if Day & Co was wondering/hearing? that Eddrick was thinking portal after this season? LJ doesn't normally throw true freshmen in (as starters) in later season games if at all. Yes, he did well, and that is great. Helps keep him engaged certainly, and we'll see how much time he logs if Tyleik is back at 100%. Trying to figure out if this is one more ramification of the transfer portal, and/or the excellent recruiting efforts of the Buckeyes (and other elite programs). Since don't pay attention to the other programs at all, simply wonder if this manifestation is tied to portal, Knowles v Johnson, Day being a CEO, or ? And of course, there's the trickle down effect, if Hero, Twylone (gone after this year?), and Jason sit up and take notice that they've been bypassed? Not entirely certain how much a player can stand out now that we're in season. Doubt there is much 'violent hitting' during the Tuesday-Thursday practices, called full-go? Too many chances for injury. Also haven't checked to see if this burns Eddrick's redshirt. Ah well, Go Bucks!

I think it speaks more to the fact that, outside of Kayden, none of the other backups have stepped up and claimed that role.
