To be honest, he didn't really play like a 4th rounder, either. More like an undrafted free agent.

Of course, Michigan fans are triggered and playing the blame game (mostly Shea, if you care). I guess they just can't accept the fact that Savior Jimmy turns 5-star talents into bums (BTW, wasn't Shea a 5-star talent as well?).

Shea wasn't just a 5*, he was the #4 overall player in his class per the 247 composite rated .9982...or one of the more highly rated QB prospects of the last decade. Yes, recruiting rankings are messed up all of the time, but you gotta think with a rating like that and a little bit of development from his coaching staff that he should have been more than he was.

As for DPJ, some thing. All the tools, didn't get developed.

What was Shea's reasoning for going to Ole Miss to begin with?
Looks shady as hell with the information available 5 years later.
I think scUM just attracts a certain type among the 4 and 5 stars.
