Bolden getting major interest
Written by Marc Givler

The class of 2012 is just beginning to take shape but when talking about the linebackers, Colerain product Joe Bolden will definitely be at, or near, the top of the list. The 6-foot-2, 215-pound prospect is one of the top inside linebackers in Ohio and is a major reason for Colerain?s 7-0 start. Bolden's athleticism and physical nature have him hearing from many of the top programs in the Midwest and the talented junior already holds a verbal offer from the University of Cincinnati.

"I was speechless," said Bolden, when asked about his first offer. "I've always dreamed of playing college ball and eventually the NFL but I just didn't realize until I got into high school and started playing to my potential that I would have a chance to play Division I college football."

"Ohio State has shown a lot of interest," Bolden said. "I went up to the Ohio State-Miami game and talked to a lot of the coaches. About a week later they called my Uncle (Colerain head coach Tom Bolden) and asked for game film so he sent them my first few games this season and they are evaluating that right now. I like Ohio State a lot. I like coach Peterson and my Uncle actually went and played college ball at Wittenberg College with their DB coach (Taver Johnson)."
