DE Zach Harrison (All B1G, Atlanta Falcons)

Not a peep about his status??

** Day on which player has really had a great offseason thus far: "One guy that sticks out for sure, especially on defense, is Zach Harrison. I think the work he's put in this offseason is great. His body is already changing. His work ethic is off the chart. He's leading. He's in front of things. He just looks different, and hats off to him for having a great offseason. He just has a different look in his eye."

A guy with his measurables evinced significant changes during winter workouts?

Holy Crap

If he can put it all together he could be a GREAT one! I'm talking a next in line from the Bosa's and Chase. He has too many ridiculous measurement numbers, he's practically a create a player in a video game. He can be what Greg Rousseau was for Miami in 2019

“I just made a decision at the end of last season, going into this season, I’m just going to give everything I’ve got to this program,” Harrison said when speaking to the media on Friday. “I’m going to give everything I’ve got to every workout, every sprint, every drill, every rep and I think the coaches are seeing the results of that. But it’s just a mindset change I had going into this season.”

Let's be real... he was never going to be Chase or either of the Bosa guys. He wasn't going to be a year 1 stud or year 2 game wrecker. Zach needed time to grow into his body and I think he's finally done that.

I think this is our best DE duo (ignoring chase/bosa) in a long time.

I think better than Hubbard/Lewis and for sure both our 2021 starters are better than anyone starting opposite of either Bosa since 2013.

You couple that with getting Garrett back and that's awesome (damn you Tommy for doing the right thing).

Yeah, I think if anyone paid attention to Harrison's recruitment, you knew that he was a project with a crazy high ceiling. He needed at least 2yrs to develop. And with 2020 being so up and down due to Covid 19, then we should've expected some stunted growth. But he has every trait you want in an elite DE, and then some! Another kid that a normal full off season will benefit from immensely!

And with a full off season, we have enough talent to replace Toagi between: Jackson, Cage and Vincent.

Truth.

I think can he take a huge leap forward just by not being the last guy off the ball when it’s snapped. That half second makes a world of difference. Add in the other technique refinement, and he should be really good.
