DE Chase Young (Nagurski, Hendricks, Bednarik, Silver Football, NFL DROY, New Orleans Saints)

Chase Young is now officially a member of the Washington organization, which means he's also officially a multi-millionaire.

The No. 2 overall pick inked his four-year rookie deal with Washington on Thursday worth $34.56 million. You is also set to receive $22.6 million of that upfront as a signing bonus, Ian Rapoport reports.

Young's deal is slightly more than the deal fellow Buckeye Nick Bosa – last year's No. 2 pick at the same position – signed last year. Bosa's deal of $33.5 million over the course of the deal and included a signing bonus of $22.4 million.

It has been an offseason full of controversy for the Washington Football Team, as a name change and allegations of sexual harassment have meant that the addition of former Ohio State star defensive lineman Chase Young has been on the back burner. Young got started with his first NFL training camp, but he has missed time recently with a hip flexor issue.

It doesn’t sound like the injury is severe by any means, but Young has missed some reps and has been seen wearing a bandage on his hip. With no preseason games, Young has plenty of time to recover before Washington’s first game on Sept. 13 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

And Young likes what he’s seen from Del Rio so far.

"I love Coach Del Rio, man," Young said in an interview with JP Finlay. "Coach Del Rio, he's one of those, I don't even have the words for it. He's just a real good coach and I'm excited to play for him."

So what does Del Rio bring?

"[Del Rio] comes to work every day and gives us motivation when he steps on the field," Young said. "He's ready. It just lets us know that we need to be ready, too."

CHASE YOUNG
We're going to have to wait just a bit longer for live games to start before we see Chase Young chase down some opposing quarterbacks, but in the mean time, we can enjoy watching him clown on some hapless offensive linemen

Not every players translates perfectly to the NFL, but it's impossible to imagine a scenario where Chase Young isn't a problem for opposing offenses for years to come, especially after watching how soon Joey and Nick Bosa stepped into eliteness.
