CB Denzel 'Hurt! My! Feelings!' Ward (All B1G, All-American, Pro Bowl, Cleveland Browns)

I have to admit that while I am not a Browns fan I thought they should have picked Bradley Chubb and I was surprised that Denzel was the selection. Still not a Browns fan but I am glad I was wrong.

Go get some more, Denzel!

So wait. A first round player in the secondary is supposed to have production? Why aren't they playing Denzel 40 yards off the LOS? Why isn't he back there fair catching punts? I'm so confused.
Peppers as a SS in a true SS role this year has been very good so far. It’s not his fault the Browns don’t trust Callaway enough to handle return duties and keep running him out there for returns. But as an actual SS this year so far his play has been good. Perhaps if the Browns has an actual NFL level FS last year, Williams wouldn’t had played him in that stupid Angel/deep safety role as a rookie.

In summation, leave Peppers alone. He’s been good this year, just not on the level of Denzel Ward of course, who has played at a ROY/Pro Bowl level.

:slappy: that was literally the only thing he did at an NFL level coming out of college, and one of the only rallying cries to justify that god awful pick. now it's somebody else's fault that he even has to be put back there. ooooooooooooook.

Peppers is still a turd. Likes to fair catch punts with 10+ yards between him and the defenders. Likes to bring out KR's from the endzone and get tackled inside the 15. Makes a big show every time he gets anywhere near a play, but never seems to make a big play. Ward has had more big plays for the Browns in 5 games than Peppers has had in his career. Peppers is also a whiny bitch.

Obviously I am stoked on Ward, stoked to have a Buckeye on the Browns, and stoked that Ward from DAY ONE has performed at a ROY/Pro Bowl level.

At this point, I could give two sh*ts that Peppers played for scUM, what he did while playing at that cesspool of a college, or anything at all to do with his college career.

THIS YEAR, as a member of the Cleveland Browns, the pro team I follow and enjoy, and positioned correctly at SS, he has performed well. On Wards level? Nowhere close. But still far better than you want to give him credit for.

Since I don’t know if your a Browns fan or not, I don’t know if you’ve actually watched the games or not. As far as his play as a returner, it’s horrible. But at this point, that’s 100% apparent and on the Browns coaches for continuing to trot him out there in a role he’s clearly not good at.

Now all that said, this is an Ohio State Buckeyes board and a Denzel Ward thread, so I will never type a single additional word about Peppers here for all of eternity lest I get gong-showed off of the (Buckeye)Planet
