Coronavirus, or Covid-19, Football Impacts

Bumping this thread for the 2021 season. Let’s leave the politics out if it.

The SEC commissioner said today that their league won’t have postponements this season due to Covid. It could allow for forfeits to occur if one team can’t field enough players. If both teams have issues, will they be playing chicken to see if Team B announces their inability to play first so Team A can claim a win?

How would the playoff committee view such forfeits or ‘victories’?

And if the B1G does the same, does that ruin TTUN’s game plan for late November this year?

1. So, are they saying (and I love the irony here) if Tennessee, Arkansas, and Missouri "go south", fuck 'em, they weren't going to win anyway? What if the current trend continues - could a coach say, "I'm not putting my team at risk by playing a road game against a team that has experienced COVID outbreaks."

2. If you were Michigan and could duck playing the Bucks and trimming your all time series lead to 6, wouldn't you duck?
