MLB draft is always the ultimate crap shoot.
For the prospect heads here though.
Indians first 2 picks.
Round 1-23 they go with the “value” pick. A guy who was slotted around 50. HS short stop Carson Tucker.....younger brother of Pirates player Cole Tucker. Pretty underwhelming because if they wanted to really go for it there were better high school options still on the board. Apparently they are “very familiar” with him though so I guess we will see.
Competitive balance A pick at 36 RHP Tanner Burns from Auburn was ranked 28th by MLB pipeline. Seems to be a guy who does everything at least ok but nothing in the elite realm. Maybe could be a decent low end 2 or good 3 starter.
