Cleveland Guardians (2022 AL Central Champs)

Magic number down to 7.

Killer start for McKenzie tonight. 13 Ks and no walks in 8 innings. Second time he’s done that against the White Sox this season lol.

McKenzie seems to be putting it together. He's really improved on his control and consistency. 58 walks in 120 IP in 2021 with a 2.3 K/BB ratio, this year he's at 180 IP and has only walked 43 with a 4.2 K/BB ratio. His 0.96 WHIP ranks 6th in all of baseball.

The Lindor trade has sure worked out a lot better than thought.

Gimenez has been a legit all star level player this year after a rough start last year

and Rosario has been pretty good in his own right, both years in Cleveland.

And they don't cost $34M a year for the next decade. Lindor has bounced back pretty well this year after he was horrendous in 2021, but he is NOT worth $34M a year. That contract is nuts.

Yep Lindor is having a pretty good year, Gimenez is a bit statistically overall better though along with Rosario doing what he's doing. They added 2 players for him that upped total production. Without the ridiculous contracts.

It would take a epic collapse by Cleveland and a hot win streak by CWS to choke this away

We finish with Rangers, Rays and Royals

Chicago finishes with Tigers, Padres and Twins.
