Because like OBJ before him, they’re paying Rolls Royce money for Honda Civic production. And the fact he is patently unlikable adds to the heat he takes (but wouldn’t matter to most people if we were getting Joe Montana instead of Dave Krieg).

He isn't the only low performer, but with that contract and being the QB he gets the most attention.

If he Browns were owned by a competent owner we might not be having this conversation. Alas, the Browns have always had terrible owners and that may never change as they continue to rake in the dollars regardless of the product they put on the field.
