I've been incredibly critical of him as well and pretty much everyone for good reason up until yesterday. Maybe he really is better at OT? I also read an article that broke down his performance really well and also came to the conclusion that the snow helped him with edge rushers. I hope it's 95% just improvement though, throwing the past aside before he comes to the Bengals, we spent a 2nd round pick on him and he probably got exposed as a rookie as most OL would. Hell, Sewell got destroyed his rookie year and turned around into a very good LT. Plus Carman had to deal with getting benched for a rookie 4th round pick. To have the mental clarity to rebound and play that well on the spot to me says a lot. Maybe he's not the answer at LT moving forward, but I was pretty stunned with how well he played and hope he keeps up in the stratosphere of where he played on Sunday. We can work with that.

"As good as Williams is at LT" is about as good as I can put it, even with a low bar. Point is I think you play Carman because he's younger with a chance to work out, whereas Jonah has been consistently bad for over twice the time on the roster. I was a huge Pollack critic but maybe he just needed some time to get his guys together and gel. Really hoping we can just put 2 more games together like that.

The NFL is the villain and the Bengals are the protagonist.

I stopped reading here: "More recently, Cincinnati spent the days leading up to the Buffalo game playing the “disrespect” card because the NFL decided to start selling tickets to a hypothetical game before the teams had been finalized. Anybody who “disrespected” a team that hasn’t lost since Halloween is not someone to be taken seriously, but hey, get that motivation however you can, Cincy."

Silly nonsequitur. So I guess the NFL is not to be taken seriously.

GH: Watching Joe Burrow in Buffalo, did you kind of just take a step back in amazement? He had never played in the snow and he looked like Santa Claus out there.
ZT: Yeah, he did a great job speeding through his progressions when he needed to and just making sure we were getting the ball downhill and finding completions, and he did that countless times. He just found check-downs when they were sinking in coverage, and when opportunities were there down the field he took them, and they paid off for us. He managed the game really well.

GH: After the game you told your team what a killer instinct it has. Do you think that comes partly from Joe's personality?
ZT: Yeah, he's got that mindset that you've got to have. You've got to have that right edge, right urgency, and he's got exactly that.

GH: How would you describe Burrow as a guy? He's kind of an interesting guy, isn't he?
ZT: He is prepared. That's the best way to say it. He's got an edge to him, and he's always prepared. I like that in our quarterback.

Jay Busbee apparently new to sports. Georgia said when they won their second natty in a row that everyone doubted them, despite being two score favorites in the national championship game and not being an underdog once all year.

Jay... this is a motivational tactic. It has been since the beginning. So stupid.

If he wanted to write that same article, he could've referenced the shit-talking the Bengals have been doing the last few weeks. Eli Apple went on a top-tier Twitter insult session against Diggs the other day. Mike Hilton called Arrowhead "Burrowhead." Among other examples. But even then.. people don't really hate the Bengals. Seems that everyone loves Joe Burrow.

Just a dogshit article.

Anyways, remember when Dan Patrick was advocating for Burrow to not sign with the Bengals if they drafted him? lol.

It certainly feels "unfamiliar" for the Bengals to be in a position of talking shit, especially to the Chiefs.
I guess a lot depends on the health of Mahomes. But I would certainly be weary of pissing on Kansas City and the blowback that comes from that.
