CB Davison Igbinosun (Official Thread)

I think that Oregon told their receivers to bait Igbinosun into losing his temper to draw personal fouls. I doubt spitting in his face in front of an official was approved, but Lanning didn't seem shocked at all when the player was ejected. More annoyed that the player fucked up his assignment.

He wore mitts in practice early in the week. It worked!

Or the refs just weren't calling it as close yesterday....

Anyway his interception in the end zone with a few seconds to go in the half was one hell of a play, it could have easily saved a Penn State TD.

The third-year cornerback collected four tackles and one pass breakup in Ohio State's win over Penn State. His performance also included a spectacular interception in the end zone, allowing the Buckeyes to maintain their 14-10 lead before halftime.
Igbinsoun showed resilience to secure the interception – and in more ways than one. One snap earlier, Igbinosun allowed Harrison Wallace III to catch a pass at the Ohio State 3-yard line. He also committed pass interference on the play, but Penn State declined the penalty. Choosing to target Wallace and Igbinosun a second time, Drew Allar threw a pass to Wallace's outside shoulder, but Igbinosun stripped the football out of his hands and landed a foot in the end zone for a takeaway and a touchback.
WHAT AN UNREAL INTERCEPTION

Pro Football Focus gave Igbinosun a team-best 90.5 coverage grade against Penn State as he limited Allar to a 34.4 passer rating on passes thrown in his direction on Saturday. For the season, Igbinosun has graded out at 64.6 in pass defense, 74.9 in run defense and 88.1 in tackling. He has 24 tackles, two tackles for loss, three pass breakups and two interceptions on the year.
