Of course, if you read the fine folks at Eleven Warriors, you already knew Ohio State was looking at Prysock as a cornerback from when we spoke with him in mid-May following his Buckeyes offer announcement.

“They see me as a cornerback,” Prysock said. “They like the fact that I’m tall with speed and quick feet.”

Not a fan of guys being so adamant about a certain position, if coaches think he can fit better elsewhere.

I respect the confidence though.

During the recruiting process the player and the coaches recruiting him should be totally honest with each other. Sometimes a great player might not be a "great fit" at a certain school because of some playing position differences. However, in this case it appears Ephesians Prysock and the Ohio State coaches are on the same page.

Coombs has been on record as saying he only recruits 1st rounders and he puts corners in the league every year, and brags about all the high draft pick Buckeye CBs that are in the NFL. After QB, the premium positions in the NFL draft are pass rushing DE, shutdown corner, and pass blocking RT. Definitely, if you want to be a NFL cornerback come to Ohio State.

I'll go out on a limb here and say if Ohio State didn't honestly believe that Ephesians Prysock has the potential to be a NFL 1st round draft pick as a cornerback, I don't think that they wouldn't be recruiting him.

So you’re saying Treyveon Henderson should listen to Dabo and play Corner at Clemson? After all, Dabo is a two time national champion coach

That’s been totally misrepresented.

Trey initially was all in on being a defensive player in the summer of 2019. That’s what he primarily played as a Freshman & Soph. Then he had an amazing season at RB and decided that’s where he wanted to play.

Certainly not the one on the road with the recruits, but would expect that the coaches listen to what the recruits want to play. Then maybe patiently explain that there's 12 CBs committed/on roster, but only 2 Ss, and having said that, you can line up wherever. IF the kid is upper echelon. If not, then they may be more forceful, and it the recruit walks, so be it. But a kid like JT, you can line up wherever you want. Trusting that the recruit will look at the talent in front of him, and move to 'the' position, where's there's less bodies taking reps. It all seems to work out, and tOSU coachs seem to 'walk away' from a recruit who is pretty hardline about where he wants to play, if it isn't where the Buckeye coaches envision. Most of the time the coaches are right, sometimes not. A miss was when tOSU wanted Ben Rothlisberger to play TE. The rest is history.
